Did you know Farm Bureau Insurance gets most of its new customers from referrals? That fact is the best testimonial any company can hope to get. The Volusia County Farm Bureau Insurance agency has been run on family values for nearly 50 years. Agents work hard to continue that tradition, passing quality service and coverage on to each and every client.  Meet the men and women behind the tradition.

Tony Stilling, Agency Manager

Tony Stilling was born in Eustis, Florida. He grew up in DeLand, attending DeLand High School. Today, he still lives in DeLand with his wife, Patty, and his three daughters, Sierra, Jenna and Taylor. Stilling grew up in the Farm Bureau family. His dad worked as a Farm Bureau Insurance agent. From a very young age Stilling knew he wanted to help Farm Bureau members the same way his father had. In 1994, Stilling graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Risk Management-Insurance. He went to work for Farm Bureau Insurance and put into practice the ideals he grew up with, doing business honestly in a family-friendly atmosphere. When he is not in the office you will find Tony Stilling either spending time with his family, or attempting to catch fish somewhere in the state of Florida.

Tina Ballard, Agent

Tina Ballard is originally from Churubusco, Indiana, about 15 miles northwest of Fort Wayne. The tiny town is known as “Turtle Town” due to a large turtle that brought it national fame in 1949. Ballard graduated from Churubusco High School and attended Southern Farm Bureau Life School. Ballard enjoys walks on the beach and spending time with her family and dogs. She has been an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance for 14 years. “I love being able to provide the best service possible and saving my clients money, along with giving them peace of mind.”

Jack Burger, Agent

Jack Burger grew up in Volusia County, Florida. In 1970, he made the move north to Flagler County. He enjoys hunting on the weekends. Burger attended Auburn University and earned a Bachelors degree in agriculture. For the last 39 years, he has worked hard to help customers of Farm Bureau Insurance protect their homes and vehicle, and to give them confidence that their family is protected with the proper life insurance coverage.

Bobby Harper, Agent

Bobby Harper is a native Floridian. Born and raised in Gainesville, he’s a Gator fan through and through.  A graduate of the University of North Florida, Harper has been helping families get the insurance coverage they need since 2010. “It’s a privilege to work with a company with the great reputation that Volusia County Farm Bureau Insurance has,” said Harper. Besides his talent in the office, Harper is a self-taught musician. He plays 14 different instruments and spends his spare time at the beach, hanging out with friends.

When he is not at the office, he can be found doing something outdoors with his family and friends. He enjoys the beach and bass fishing.
